Learn how to listen deeply, gently touching through the body layers with kind loving presence to support healing from stress, fear and shock. Slow guided explorations will help renegotiate relationship to past present and future, for Self and with others. Explore Sage Patanjali's Yoga Sutra in this group study series designed to dive into the ancient teachings of yoga. Class sessions will include translations, interpretations, and discussions of the Sanskrit verses.
Focus: The first book of Patanjali's Yoga Sutra, Samadi Pada, chapter on Absorption. This study series will encourage group discussion and reflection on the application of sacred teachings in daily life and in the broader context of the collective.
Group meditation will be a part of each session.
$55 for entire series or $15 per class drop-in.

Learn more about the complete eight-limbed system of yoga as a lifestyle; find ways to create a spiritual practice that makes you feel connected and whole; and study ancient techniques and tools to transform your body, mind and spirit. As yoga teachers we often encounter students who have some sort of physical limitations. One student cannot touch their toes as they have issues with their back, another cannot be on their knees due to a previous injury and yet another cannot raise their arms over their head due to tight shoulders, and these challenges go on and on.
During this workshop, you will work with individual poses and learn how to adapt each pose by utilizing many different variations within the pose. You will explore different conditions such as back and shoulder issues, knee problems and balance issues as well as look at the benefits
of various props, chairs and working at a wall to create comfort and accessibility for a wide variety of poses. You and the other students will be challenged to create various sequences and adapt them for specific classes and student's needs.

Rising Star Healing Sessions -- The healing session will be a full physical, mental, emotional and energetic cleanse, and will last approximately two hours. A great class for new students to learn the classic sun salutation poses (mountain, upward hand pose, forward fold, plank, hover push-up, upward facing dog and downward facing dog). A combination of acupressure and psychotherapeutic principles, energy psychology provides rapid relief from emotional distress. Most of us grew up with a particular religious doctrine, a way of looking at “God” or the “way things work.” There are parts of religious systems that are beautiful and sustaining; and there are parts of them that are damaging. We need to discern what we believe, and what we do not believe, in order to weave ourselves back into a true Spiritual connection with The Divine (however it is that we experience that energy).
