An intense, fast-paced flow practice with rocking music and lots of sun salutes in a warm room. All levels welcome, but know that this class is geared towards the seasoned practitioner. Join us a few minutes before class begins for chanting and time to sink in. Yoga for every BODY. No experience necessary, each class will be suited to beginners, but those with experience are welcome, too. Learn breathing techniques, stretch and strengthen the body and quiet the mind. Give yoga a chance to change your life. This introductory workshop is a great way to learn to play the harmonium, or to refresh your practice ♪
No musical experience or instrument needed, but if you have one, wipe off the dust and bring it 😊! By the end of our 2-hours together, you will be playing chords, vibrational scales, and singing together if you are so inspired! We will explore the basics of harmonium play, learn Western notes, chords and melody, use breath practices to enhance play, song and care for your voice. You will also receive a book of cards with tips, basic chords & familiar mantra, kirtan and devotional songs.

This workshop builds on the foundations from Harmonium 101 and is perfect for those with harmonium experience to refresh and support an existing practice ♪ After a review of playing practices, chords, and melody, we will focus on increasingly challenging chord progressions and playing while chanting or leading kirtan accompanied by percussion (such as drum and cymbals) which adds a layer of complexity and joy to our practice ♬ Cards with additional tips and advanced mantra / devotional songs are included.
