Full moons are culminations, usually bringing the completion of a cycle or an ending. They are also the perfect time to release and let go of whatever it is that no longer serves you or no longer belongs in your life. This energy is also coming at the ancient festival time of Beltane, a time when the Sun comes to around the mid-point of the energy of Taurus and we celebrate all things related to the Earth and enjoy the bounty of deep Spring. We will gather for ritual, a guided meditation and then social time afterward. We will be creating a mandala made of plant material so feel free to bring a bouquet or some plant material from your yard. Sparkling cider and cookies will be provided. No need to pre-register, all ages welcome. Fee $10.

What is the difference between wooden versus gemstone malas? And why are some small and some larger? Learn about the different types, uses and the ancient practice of japa mantra.

Ecstatic dance is a liberating and judgment-free space of movement, music, and community. Also known as free-form dance, it’s all about tuning into your own body and allowing it to move in the way it wants to move.
For some bodies this may mean twirling and leaping across the dance floor. And for others it may mean something more subtle– tiny, gentle movements and conscious breath to support your healing.
A few simple guidelines: no shoes, no drugs or alcohol, no phones or cameras, no non-natural scents, no talking on the dance floor.
The only directive: Allow your body to move exactly how it wants to move.
Tix $10 – purchase below or come early and purchase in person at Uttara. Doors open at 6:30.

If you experience feelings of anxiety, depression, impulsivity, cravings, traumatic response, or social awkwardness, this prescriptive 6-week series is for you. We are a small and supportive group, joining together to explore how to connect with, embrace and ultimately heal all parts of ourselves, especially those parts that we label as harmful or undesirable. Based on a holistic and integrated method of well~being, each week will highlight a particular clinical dynamic and we will practice strategies for intervention. Through meditation, movement, mantra and music, we will create a psychological momentum to boost your energies toward stability and mastery. Yes. Believe it. And this prescription can fully supplement your program of traditional medicine or work as a primary holistic intervention for psychological health. Welcome!

When a woman is living in calmness, radiance, joy and good health, this is the atmosphere in which her baby will enter the world. Yoga helps to create this atmosphere.
This class is designed to help you relax and strengthen your rapidly changing body as you become present with your experience. The class combines yoga stretching and movement, chanting, meditation and deep relaxation with the goal of helping the mother relax and calm herself, connect with her baby, and find the strength within herself to deal with the everyday stresses that come with our busy lives.
This is a wonderful way to connect with other women, share experiences and create community.
