This all-level class is designed to therapeutically target tight bodies and is particularly good for athletes and others who feel that yoga just doesn't work for their bodies. Traditional poses are modified in unique and fun ways so that they work for all types of bodies and the focus is on myofascial release and strengthening the midline.
This class blends together great music, fun yoga sequences and hip swaying dance moves to create YogaDance. Get your groove on in this fun class that alternates between yoga warm-ups, standing and balancing poses and free form dance sections. We will end with cool down yoga poses and a brief relaxation. This class is designed to help you relax and strengthen your rapidly changing body as you become present with your experience. 6:00 to 7:00 pm Kirtan and 7:00 to 9:00 pm Potluck
Join your friends at Uttara Yoga for call and response chanting to usher in the new season and then stay after (or come later!) for a potluck supper. You know yogis can throw down when it comes to food, so don’t miss this opportunity to socialize and hang out. We’ll provide plates, silverware, napkins and cider.
