Chair yoga makes yoga poses accessible for everyone and is specifically great for beginners or those with physical challenges. It’s incredible how much you can do with the aid and assistance of a simple folding chair!

This bi-monthly class will take you into a deeper state of relaxation. Kimberly and Betsy will use singing bowls and different instruments to create sounds that promote healing vibrations. When the body and mind are fully relaxed, this is when the body can truly heal and repair itself.
July 22, 29 & August 5 - Drop-in 2pm - 3:15pm. At its core, yoga is an exercise for the body and mind that leads to greater aerobic strength, flexibility and focus. Some of the most elite athletes use yoga as part of a successful training program. Yoga also keeps you focused on a deep and steady breath. An introduction to Yoga for Healthy Aging with active practice of its basic components. What is aging and what are the components to healthy aging? Explore how yoga influences your healthy lifespan through asana, stress management and yoga philosophy. Learn about the four essential physical skills and yoga poses that support these abilities. We will sample some of the practices to illustrate the concepts. The class will close with questions and a restorative practice.Find out more »

A practice to explore *Sthira sukhamasanam * - the yoga sutra that Reminds us to practice asana (poses) with steadiness and ease. Suitable for beginners and seasoned practitioners, this class uses guided mindfulness and slower-paced breath centered movement on the mat (seated, standing and supine which allows us to explore the relationships between body, breath, mind and spirit and a path toward well-being. This class will calm the nervous system while also gently building strength, flexibility and balance.
Join Kathleen Barratt for this one-day breath immersion. This unique workshop offers a sacred space to come into stillness and deepen your relationship to the transformational healing power of the breath.

Calling all Yogis! Kids Yoga by Kinderdance will be partnering with Uttara Yoga Studio to bring you a week-long Yoga Camp for Ages 3-5! Together we will work on yoga poses and partner work while also incorporating creative
